The legs are built from two wooden planks arranged in an “X” configuration. To reinforce the structure, a rectangular crosspiece is fitted between the legs.

For the seat, I chose to work with two boards of different depths, one 20 cm and the other 16 cm. I separated them with a 4 mm gap, aligning them precisely where the legs intersect at the top of the joint. I also set each board at a slight 3° incline toward the center.
Para el asiento elegí trabajar con dos tablas de distinto largo: una de 20 cm y otra de 16 cm. Las separé 4 mm entre sí, alineándolas con precisión en el punto donde las patas se cruzan en la parte superior. También incliné cada tabla 3° hacia el centro.

I burned all the wooden pieces, carefully covering the joint areas with masking tape to prevent them from charring. This preserved the strength of the joints by allowing the glue to adhere to clean, unburned surfaces. After burning, I brushed the surface with a wire brush and then lightly sanded it with 240-grit sandpaper. Finally, I applied two coats of linseed oil to set the finish and prevent smearing.
Quemé todas las piezas de madera, cubriendo cuidadosamente las zonas de los ensambles con cinta de enmascarar para evitar que se quemaran. Esto preservó la resistencia estructural al asegurar que el pegamento pudiera trabajar sobre superficies limpias y sin quemar. Después del quemado, cepillé la superficie con un cepillo de alambre y luego lijé suavemente con lija de 240. Por último, apliqué dos manos de aceite de lino para fijar el acabado y evitar que manche al manipularlo.
