Aside from the material's weight, there were no significant challenges in assembling the structure. I used screws to secure the outer panels and covered the holes with 8mm oak plugs. For the vertical shoe section and the drawer, I used dowels for assembly.

The hardest and most time-consuming part of the construction was, by far, the door. Besides having to individually cut each piece, maintaining a 4 mm vertical separation between each plank proved very challenging. When drilling the planks into position, any slight deviation while making the pilot holes caused a misalignment that was difficult to fix afterward. For the horizontal alignment of the planks, I created a wooden guide that helped center them. However, because the guide didn’t cover the entire length of the door, I had to move it upward in sections as I worked. This incremental movement caused small deviations to accumulate, which had to be fixed afterward. The best approach would have been to create a template for the entire door, covering its full length and incorporating 4 mm wooden separators to ensure the vertical spacing was accurately maintained. This would have kept the planks properly aligned while being drilled into place and avoided the need for corrections afterward.
